Universal Sanitation
Practicing Universal Sanitation in the salon is a must- and means keeping the entire salon clean, disinfected and sanitary.
Sanitation/Sanitize greatly reduces the number of pathogens on a surface.
Pathogens are bacteria, viruses, fungi, germs
Proper sanitation is performed with soap & water.
Disinfection completely destroys all pathogens on a hard surface (except spores).
Proper disinfection is performed by completely submerging a sanitized implement/tool into EPA registered, hospital-grade disinfectant for 10 minutes.
This is the process used here at The Matrix Nail Lab to disinfect our metal implements.
All of our files, foot files, and buffers are disposed of after each use. Our pedicure tubs contain plastic liners that are disposed of after each use. This process eliminates the chance of cross contamination and ensures your safety.
